Far Cry Primal

Far Cry Primal is an action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released in February 2016 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Unlike other entries in the Far Cry series.

Far Cry Primal takes place in the fictional land of Oros, which is set in the Stone Age, around 10,000 BCE. Players explore a lush and untamed landscape filled with wildlife, hostile tribes, and dangerous predators.

The player assumes the role of Takkar, a Wenja tribesman who becomes the last surviving member of his hunting group. Takkar must navigate the harsh environment, tame wild animals, and build alliances with other tribes to survive.

One notable departure from previous Far Cry games is the absence of modern firearms. Instead, players rely on primitive weapons such as spears, bows and arrows, clubs, and throwable weapons. Wildlife also plays a crucial role, with players able to tame certain animals to assist in combat.

The "Beast Master" mechanic allows players to tame and command various wild animals. These animals serve as companions, aiding the player in combat or providing unique abilities, such as tracking enemies or scouting the area.

Far Cry Primal introduces survival elements to the series. Players must gather resources, craft tools and weapons, and manage their health in a world where survival skills are paramount.

The game features three main tribes – the Wenja (the player's tribe), the Udam, and the Izila. Tribal conflicts and alliances form a significant part of the game's narrative as players work to unite the Wenja and confront rival tribes.

Similar to other Far Cry games, Far Cry Primal boasts an open-world environment, allowing players to explore the vast landscapes, discover hidden caves, and engage in a variety of side quests and activities.

The day-night cycle affects the behavior of both humans and animals in the game. Some predators are more active at night, and different events and encounters can occur based on the time of day.
