The Surge

“The Surge” is an action role-playing game (ARPG) developed by Deck13 Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive. It was released in May 2017.

Set in a dystopian future where the Earth is on the brink of collapse, "The Surge" is set in a world where industrial and technological advances have created exoskeleton platforms that enhance human capabilities. Players take on the role of Warren, a new employee at CREO, a huge corporation responsible for developing and producing these exoskeletons.

The game begins with Warren undergoing surgery to implant an exoskeleton. However, something goes wrong during the procedure, and Warren awakens to find the CREO facility in chaos, overrun by malfunctioning robots and crazed employees. With no memory of what happened, Warren must navigate the dangerous environment of the CREO facility, uncover its secrets, and survive against hostile forces.

The gameplay in "The Surge" revolves around fast-paced melee combat and deep character progression. Players engage in intense battles against various enemies using a variety of weapons, including improvised melee weapons and industrial tools.
